Beacon of Freedom Award Winners
What does Phyllis Haislip and Avi have in common? They are both writers of juvenile historical fiction and they have both been awarded the Williamsburg Regional Library's pretigious Beacon of Freedom Award for a book they have authored. Phyllis received the award in 2005 for "Lottie's Courage" and Avi received the award in 2009 for "Iron Thunder".

I love to travel...I love James Taylor and Phoebe Snow(dating myself...LOL!)...I love to knit...I love to read books...and I love raiding exhibit floors at the national conferences to get my sweaty paws on free books!
